A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said multiple calls were made to triple-0 just after 2pm reporting a fire at a commercial business complex on Kaleski St, Moorebank. Residents in surrounding areas have been evacuated. There are no reports of injuries at this stage.

He said the fire had affected most of the six businesses contained in the small complex where it broke out. He said 26 fire trucks and up to 100 firefighters were now on the scene, with two platforms being used to battle the blaze from above while crews worked from “every other angle” to extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading to any other complexes. The spokesman said anyone downwind of the blaze, or in surrounding areas, was urged to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed until the fire had been contained.
