A group of indigenes of the Esa-Oke community in Osun State, called Esa-Oke Renewal Initiative, has donated solar streetlights worth N15m to the Osun State College of Technology located in the town. Receiving the project on behalf of the state government, Osun State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Dipo Eluwole, called on communities and well-meaning individuals in the state to partner government in improving infrastructures on public-owned tertiary institution campuses in the state.

Eluwole, who called on the management of the institution to harness its potential in the area of strength, especially agriculture, restated the government’s readiness for collaborations with stakeholders in providing quality education in public higher institutions in the state. “This is what is supposed to be happening in our higher institutions. For Esa-Oke to have this institution here, it is supposed to be a benefit to you all.

This organisation has brought light to this institution. “The task of funding education is too big for the government alone. The government alone cannot fund education.

This calls for the attention of all stakeholders to assist. Philanthropists, alumni, school management, the students themselves and parents, and communitiesnd are the stakeholders when we need to come together to support education.” If we work together, everything will work well on public-owned tertiary institutions,” Eluwole said.
