Agartala (Assam) [India] August 15 (ANI): On the occasion of Independence Day, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha hoisted the national flag at his residence in Agartala Tripura on Thursday. CM Manik Shah remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. CM Shah said, "We celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the state.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kamal Krishna Alai, Subedar, Kshirod Debbarma, Havildar Nihar Debbarma, Constable Sujan Kanti Chowdhury, Naik Nirmal Das, Constable Jayanti Chakraborty, and Home Guard Naba Kumar Sarkar from Tripura received President's Medal for Meritorious Service. In his message, the Tripura CM said, "We got the freedom following selfless Sacrifices & contributions of countless Patriots.
