Tens of thousands of people have been soaking in the sun as Electric Picnic officially kicked off on Friday. Noah Kahan and Gerry Cinnamon headlined the opening night of the 2024 edition of the festival , with other huge names performing on the night including Nas, Sophie Ellis Bextor and NewDad also playing throughout the day. Another big feature of the festival was the Three Charge & Chill station, which offered unrivalled views of the festival’s main stage.

Across the weekend at Charge & Chill, guests are being treated to a selection of drinks, ice creams and wireless charging while getting their photos taken at the 360 camera while taking in the sounds of some of the best new musical talent provided by the Three’s City Stages performers. Looking to day two in Stradbally, Calvin Harris and Kodaline are headlining on the main stage — with other notable acts including Belfast rap trio Kneecap, folk band The Mary Wallopers, and rock legends The Saw Doctors. As for the weather on Saturday , there will be a ‘fair amount of cloud but with some sunny intervals also’ according to Met Éireann.
