However, the latest viral food trend isn't just a hit with home cooks, as health experts have also been praising the concoction.

For those who somehow haven't yet come across the viral cucumber salad on their FYPs, Logan Moffitt, also known as @logagm or Cucumber Guy, first shot onto our screens earlier this summer. Since then, he's been sending viewers wild with his cucumber-based recipes featuring everything from salmon and steak to "MSG, obviously". The health experts at Landys Chemist are all for the trend, and have highlighted some of the cucumber salad's key health benefits.

They say the viral salad "contributes to better skin and a glowy complexion", while also helping to "regulate blood pressure". As if that wasn't reason enough to try out the salad for yourself, they also explained that the recipe is "helpful in aiding weight loss" and "aids digestion, making it the perfect in-between meal snack". They added it's good for "hydration and detoxification throughout the body".

Logan always prepares his cucumber the same way, slici.
