Packing for a trip has always been somewhat of a struggle for me. Ensuring I am prepared for every eventuality, weather-wise, and avoiding the risk of spending money on something forgotten at my destination is of optimal importance. Yes, I am a chronic over-packer.

This, however, often leads to my suitcase or backpack bursting at the seams, with the only means of shutting it being sitting on said bag to ensure it closes. However, recently I invested in some packing cubes after a friend of mine told me they had revolutionised her packing game - and I must say, she was right. With a variety of different sizes, packing cubes - such as these Antler ones in taupe, £50 - are the perfect solution for travellers who are often met with a chaotic mess in their suitcase (I say this as a former chaotic suitcase packer).

Separating your dresses from your tops from your skirts/shorts/trousers and underwear/swimwear is a real-time saver and makes unpacking once you're there a helluva lot easier. Plus, by putting your clothes into packing cubes, you save space. Described as the 'ultimate travel hack', they somehow compress your clothes (once the bags are all zipped up), making them so much easier to pop in your suitcase or backpack, ready for adventure.
