I'm 27 and I've never cut my hair - here's how much shampoo I use to keep it all clean READ MORE: Woman hasn't washed her hair in more than SEVEN MONTHS By Emma Saletta For Dailymail.Com Published: 19:25, 22 August 2024 | Updated: 19:26, 22 August 2024 e-mail View comments A 27-year-old who has never cut her hair has revealed she tames her mane by only washing it once a week. Mandy Bowen has never so much as trimmed her locks after being raised in the Pentecostal church which teaches women their hair is of spiritual significance.

'I've trained my hair to wash it once every seven to nine days, and it doesn't get really oily - so that helps out a lot,' the young mom said. Bowen added that her favorite brand of shampoo and conditioner to use is Cake, which she usually purchases every three to five weeks. The Mississippi resident said in her August 18 video that she believes it's 'so stinking neat' to have the hair on her head for so long.

'I have to give myself the biggest pep talk ever because I dread it - and I dread brushing it afterward,' Bowen admitted.

Bowen added that she usually convinces her husband to brush her hair instead. The TikToker described her methods while creating a bun, which she wears.
