The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024, celebrating the stellar talents of Indian cinema, is being hosted at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The three-day grand festival started on September 27 with the IIFA Utsavam, honouring the best of South Indian films (Tollywood, Mollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood). Hosted by Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja, Friday's event turned out to be a blockbuster with stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and AR Rahman making waves with their glamorous presence.

Not just them but Bollywood stars, including Ananya Panday, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapor, and Kriti Sanon, were in attendance at the star-studded event. Speaking about the awards, Aishwarya Rai won Best Actress (Tamil) for her role in Ponniyin Selvan II.
On the other hand, Mani Ratnam clinched Best Director (Tamil) for the same. Nani continued his dominance at the award nights after taking home the Best Actor (Telugu) for his impressive acting in Dasara. The highlight of the night was when Megastar Chiranjeevi was honoured with Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema, which was presented to him by Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi.
