Barry McGuigan revealed that his nose is made out of plastic on I’m A Celebrity, while fans predicted a seriously cringe encounter between Maura Higgins and the boxer. For now, Higgins has been kept separate from the rest of the camp, carrying out trials in the ‘junkyard’. But viewers are anticipating some awkwardness as Higgins was romantically involved with McGuigan ’s son Shane before she appeared on Love Island in 2019.
After about a year of dating, the couple parted ways as they reportedly struggled with a long distance relationship between Ireland and London. Shane, 36, has followed in the footsteps of his dad and works as boxing coach in south west London, where he owns a gym. As fans are wondering when they will address the elephant in the room, Higgins settled into the jungle by spending a night in the junkyard with Reverend Richard Coles.
