EXCITING news for fans of the iconic noughties sitcom Green Wing as the creator announces she’s in talks to bring it back. The medical series began airing on Channel 4 in 2004 and has been celebrated as one of the greatest British sitcoms of all time – until it came to a shocking end in 2007. Green Wing revolves around the lives of the staff at East Hampton Hospital, a fictional medical centre in which unusual and surreal incidents frequently occur.

The popular medical sitcom was a notable role in the early career of national darling Olivia Coleman , who is now best known for starring in Netflix shows like The Crown and Heartstopper , and movies such as The Favourite and Wicked Little Letters. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere, Olivia and the rest of the cast reunited for a spin-off show. Audible launched a six-part podcast series called Green Wing: Resuscitated which was narrated by Olivia, alongside her former co-stars, Oliver Chris , Pippa Haywood , Mark Heap , Michelle Gomez , Tamsin Greig , Stephen Mangan , Julian Rhind-Tutt , and Karl Theobald .
