A woman who worked in Greggs for 18 years has described how she took a leap and decided to launch her own business. Janine Owens, from Ynysybwl, has been running her own cafe, Little Pickers, in Bridge Street, for over three years. Amid the National Eisteddfod week, the businesswoman opened a new deli - The Little Pickers Deli, just a few doors down from her cafe.

Speaking to WalesOnline, Janine explained how her new venture was offering something new to the town's culinary scene, which was quickly becoming a thriving hub in itself. Janine explained she'd always had a passion for food, specifically in the food and drink industry. In the past, Janine ran a rugby club where she would often cater buffets for various groups.

And for 18 years after that, she worked at the British bakery chain, Greggs, where she was an area manager for a decade.
