It's not often I'll head to Manchester Airport without a ticket, passport or suitcase, with the intentions of catching a flight. But after visiting The Airport pub, I managed to catch 12, while enjoying a delicious meal and drinks. The Airport pub is a unique family-friendly restaurant and bar, located just 50 feet away from the runway at Manchester Airport .

It's the perfect spot for aviation aficionados to spot some of the thousands of flights that land at the airport every year. With a wide selection of food and drinks, it's also a great spot for families to enjoy a unique dining experience, with enough going on to keep kids entertained for hours. Beauty spot people go to watch the sunrise with stunning views an hour and a half from Liverpool I went to a family-friendly festival and watched a famous footballer perform a DJ set My partner and I visited The Airport pub on Wednesday evening after an hour's drive from Liverpool city centre .

Unlike most pubs, visitors have to pay for parking "due to regulations by Manchester Airport and to ensure our customers have priority as we have a limited number of spaces". We paid £5.60 to park for up to three hours, however visitors can pay for up to an hour or even up to six.

Although we were unable to book online - as the restaurant operates on a walk-in basis - we didn't struggle to find a parking space. We also had no issue in getting a table and were shown to one near the huge window at the back of the pub. This gave us a clear v.
