Taking a break from my usual patch of North Yorkshire , I was given the opportunity to review a McFly gig in Halifax . So I decided to explore town before the concert. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to park in the town centre.

This might not seem like a big deal but following Google Maps is not always a 'stress free solution', as it is still hard to look at the screen while also taking notice of your surroundings when driving. Especially when you just want to find somewhere to park and not be on the road any longer than you have to as you feel like you are annoying other drivers by driving slow and/or driving in the wrong lane. Thankfully, that was not the case, as there were a lot of signs and a big obvious multi-story carparks, which was on the first exit off the roundabout when coming into Halifax.

I was able to park my car and pay £11.50 for 24 hours and immediately found my hotel, which was straight across from it. So my worries were far away, as the two most important things on my checklist were sorted.

One, get to a car park safely and two, find the hotel.
