A woman has spoken about how buying spray on tan online turned into a health nightmare. Edith Eagle appeared on Good Morning Britain and explained that she had to go straight to hospital after being ‘unable to breathe’. She said ‘I had no idea I would end up like this’ and explained she felt she was “suffocating” and “drowning inside her own body” following the allergic reaction which she believes was linked to the product.

Terrified Edith got a taxi to hospital and arrived at a packed A&E department. She explained that even though there was a huge queue they instantly put her through as she looked so awful. Host Susanna Reid said: ”Edith you bought this online you then used it for 3 days.

Yeah. And what happened?” Edith explained: “Well, I woke up in the morning and I had really swollen face and neck, and I couldn’t barely breathe. So when I got up, looked in the mirror, I went back to bed straight away and I said to my family, don’t speak to me because I cannot breathe.

“So I was just concentrating on breathing. Basically.” Co-host Ed Balls asked: “How did you find out about the idea that if you put a spray up your nose, it might change the colour of your skin? I’ve never heard of this before.

” Edith 47, from King’s Lynn in Norfolk replied: “Nor did I actually, until just before the holiday that we went on someone close to me told me about it and we thought it’s a brilliant idea, why not? I just looked on Google. And bought it onlin.
