To help the public find a lasting foundation which can match any price point, writer Emily Sleight put a range of the bestsellers to the testing, including one from cult favourite brand Charlotte Tilbury. The most expensive foundation tested out will see shoppers fork out £39, while the cheapest is priced at £3.49 (it's currently on offer).

There's a foundation to fit every person's needs, from own drugstore brands to premium names. But for Emily there was one which stood out from the pack, reported LiverpoolEcho. Not only were they looking for a long-lasting formula, but they also wanted one with a lightweight feeling, that was comfortable enough to wear for hours on end.

This is what Emily thought. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation - £39 Emily said: "When I saw that this foundation was being used on celebrities such as Kate Moss and Salma Hayek, I knew it must be good. When I first tried this product, I noticed it gave the skin a flawless look, covering all blemishes instantly.

"It did have a 'weightless' feel, as promised and for the most part, it did last throughout the day. However, the shade oxidised slightly after about 20 minutes (which can be common within full coverages), meaning it looked slightly darker, and I did touch up with some powder halfway through the day. "All in all, I would recommend this foundation for a 'flawless' and smooth look, but I wouldn't say it's the ultimate long-lasting pick.
