With a gorgeous, family-run farm spread over 35 acres of wildflower meadow, set in a tranquil valley only 15 minutes away from the seaside, when I researched my holiday I had to ask myself: is this place real? It certainly is and we experienced it for three wonderful nights. Bosinver in St Austell is somewhere the entire family can switch off, relax and enjoy themselves. It is laid out like its own little quiet village, with 20 beautiful cottages to choose from.

It's about a four-hour drive from Cardiff but worth every second. We visited as a family of five: my partner David and I, our two children aged three and 18 months, and my mother. My mum actually adored Bosinver so much that she's already lining up our visit for next year and has invited my brothers and their families too.

Our cottage (Jack's Barn) was spacious, warm and felt just like home the perfect place for us all to relax and to settle our boys at the end of a busy day. It had everything we needed - the team makes sure everyone is catered for.

We were able to have a pram, travel cot, a bed guard and a child carrier left in the cottage for our arrival which meant we didn't need to worry about everything fitting in the car. The lovely things to do at Bosinver Heading ou.
