Julia Clark, 53, from Lincoln, had been happily married to Peter, also 53, for 15 years and had three children together. However, a family holiday to Egypt in August 2016 hailed the start of a new change.

She opened up about her experience to our sister title, OK! and detailed how it all started. She said: "Relaxing by the poolside, my husband Peter and our two daughters, Melissa and Amelia, were enjoying their time in the water. "Our two-week Egyptian holiday was nearing its end, and we were savouring our last few days under the scorching August sun.

Despite the fun times and beautiful photos, I felt an overwhelming sense of loneliness. "My marriage seemed to have lost its spark. I'd been wedded to Peter for 15 years; he was a wonderful man, an exceptional father to our children James, now 34, Melissa, 21, and Amelia, 18, and a great provider, but it felt like we were merely co-parenting.

"That 2016 holiday marked a turning point in my life. As I sat there observing my family, a hotel employee came over and asked for my name. He enquired about my well-being and whether I was on Facebook.
