A couple of years later in 2019 Karie – who has been a keen nudist for over 20 years – decided to flip her ex's Fuerteventura home into the BHH Naturist Resort. Since then, she's "fallen in love" with herself thanks to embracing the culture around being a naturist. Karie's also got her pensioner parents involved and they are now part of the naturist community – she thinks it's "lovely.
" Karie is proud of the safe environment she's created at her resort, where she carefully screens single male guests. However, she admits that dating as a naturist can be challenging as men often equate nudity with sex. She's even had blokes book a room expecting sexual favours in return.
Speaking to PA Real Life, Karie said: "Since running the naturist resort, I would say that I fell in love with myself through naturism, it's very liberating. "I think it's tricky the whole dating scenario for me because of the type of business I run, because potential partners tend to get the wrong idea unless they are naturists themselves."
