I recently visited Heavenly Desserts in Stratford to try its newly launched brunch menu. The restaurant is located just a short walk from Stratford International station and Westfield Stratford City. I took my boyfriend and we arrived shortly after 10.
30am and were the second customers there. The parlour has booths and regular tables (Image: Olivia Carter) The Stratford parlour has both indoor and outdoor seating, and has a modern, classy interior. We were sat quickly and handed our menus.
I ordered a mint tea and my boyfriend went for the berry and oat granola smoothie. The smoothie was refreshing and a generous size, and somewhat filling as a result. The smoothie was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy (Image: Olivia Carter) For our brunch, I opted for the vegan breakfast with tomato, mushroom, hash brown bites, sausages and beans.
I had originally hoped to have the caramelised biscuit and banana overnight oats but unfortunately it was not available at the time of my visit. The vegan breakfast sat on a slice of toast (Image: Olivia Carter) My boyfriend ordered the chocolate and banana french toast and banana gelato. The vegan breakfast was a lovely savoury option, with the spiced beans adding a comforting warmth and something different to the meal.
The French toast was impressively stacked and looked as rich as it was. The French toast looked amazing (Image: Olivia Carter) READ MORE: I had dinner in a Covent Garden restaurant where tango dancers twirl between tables My b.
