AN IRISH designer has caused a stir on TikTok – after she cut up her old Debs dress. With over 100K views, people couldn’t get enough of the transformation. Aisling, who posts under @aislingkavanagh_, shared a clip of her dress transformation.

Originally a long mermaid ball gown, the style lover appears wearing a pretty mini dress with tutu style skirt. Aisling told The Irish Sun: “I'm always looking for ways to revamp and upcycle something I already have at home. “So, this dress actually started its life as my old debs dress.

"It had been sitting in my wardrobe for ages, just collecting dust. “And I thought ‘why let it go to waste when I can turn it into something I’ll actually wear?’” The Dubliner told how she supports sustainable fashion and loves being creative. Aisling said: “I’m really passionate about sustainable dressing and finding ways to give old pieces a new life.

“So, I cut it up, revamped it, and now it’s something I love even more. And something that fits my style today.” The upcycled dress features the same stunning beaded bodice.

Aisling styled the new dress with a beaded silver handbag and pink strappy heels. She added: “It’s all about making the most of what you already have.” Fashion fans hailed the dress as “perfection” and “iconic”.

One person said: “The talent is unmatched.” Another said: “You are THE MOMENT ALWAYS.” One fan said: “Omg someone needs to set this up as a service, impeccable.
