Proving that knows no age, a mature model has been making waves in the industry. Dr. Nina Cash, 57, from California, was one of seven winners featured in Sports Illustrated's 60th Anniversary issue in May 2024, and she's often seen promoting on the runway.
Despite starting her career in modelling after high school, Nina took a break to focus on raising her daughter as a single mum. This led her to a career in higher education, specifically in continuing education and adult learning. Nina bagged an undergraduate degree in Human Services, followed by a graduate degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding.
She then pursued a doctorate in educational leadership, fuelled by her passion for fostering learning and growth in individuals and communities. However, after retiring in 2022, Nina felt a pull towards modelling again. By the end of that year, she took a leap of faith and applied for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Search, which turned out to be a successful move.
