Monday, August 26, 2024 Hyatt has announced a new partnership with PT Central Sudirman Development to introduce the first Andaz hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. This landmark project, part of the Two Sudirman Jakarta development, is set to be a prominent feature of Jakarta’s skyline and one of the tallest buildings in Indonesia, with an expected opening in early 2028. The Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will be situated in the bustling central business district, marking it as the inaugural Andaz-branded urban hotel in Indonesia, complementing the already existing Andaz Bali resort, which opened in 2021.

This addition will expand Hyatt’s presence in Indonesia, where it currently operates 14 properties across various brands including Alila, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt Regency. Construction is underway at the centrally located Two Sudirman Jakarta on Sudirman Street, the arterial road of Jakarta’s business hub. The complex will offer direct connections to the city’s MRT (Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit), LRT (Light Rapid Transit), and an airport rail link to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, enhancing accessibility for visitors.

The dual-tower structure will house residences, commercial spaces, retail areas, and office facilities. Occupying floors 40 to 72 of Tower A, Andaz Jakarta Sudirman will feature 198 hotel rooms and 167 serviced apartments with designs by Tokyo’s Design Studio Spin.
