Huw Edwards arrives at court in London Former BBC newsreader Huw Edwards pleaded guilty to making three counts of indecent images of children when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court last month. According to The Daily Mail, it has now been claimed the 62 year old met up with a man behind his wife’s back and allegedly groped him in a toilet during a lunch date. Edwards allegedly befriended the man on Instagram and the pair are believed to have exchanged a string of messages.

The man claimed to have begun following the newsreader on the platform in 2021 and sent him a direct message to which Edwards responded. After exchanging Instagram messages for a few weeks, the two swapped phone numbers. They started using WhatsApp to communicate where the former broadcaster is alleged to have sent sexually explicit messages.

He told the publication they had lunch together at a high-profile restaurant where Edwards allegedly groped the man in a toilet.
