Maria Chiguvari THERE is a huge demand for tickets for Freeman’s HKD Festival, his management has revealed. The inaugural festival is set for Alex Sports Club on Saturday. Freeman will also unveil his 14th album on the same day.

His handler, Watson Kafelapanjila, said they have been offered a chance to use the bigger part of the venue after the demand for tickets went up. An array of stars – Master H, Voltz JT, Holy Ten, Poptain, Delroy Shewe, Takura, Nutty O, Tammy Moyo, She Calaz, Bazooker and Nyasha David – will perform at the event. Kafelapanjila said everything is now in place.

“The progress for the festival is now at 80 percent and tickets are already selling. “At our festival, we are expecting a huge crowd, people should come out in their numbers and celebrate music with the HKD family,” he said. Freeman says he will reveal details of the album just days before the launch.

Last year, he set the bar high when he launched his 13th album ‘Trophy,’ at the same venue. He collaborated with Jah Prayzah and Feli Nandi and his fans are already anticipating another surprise. Two years ago, he collaborated with Jamaican reggae artist Christopher Martin.
