THE beers are on Ed Sheeran after he enjoyed an eye-watering £50million turnover last year – before performing a single gig. The superstar’s music firm lodged its profits at Companies House yesterday, with documents showing that Ed Sheeran Limited – which deals with earnings from the writing, recording and production of music – netted £137,000 A DAY. Ed pocketed £14million for himself following the release of two No1 albums: Subtract in May 2023 and Autumn Variations a few months later.

The figures cover the 12 months up to December 31, 2023, but do not include earnings from any of his live shows. He is expected to lodge those separately in the coming months. In 2022 he had a tour turnover of £145million, so he can expect another bumper pay day before the end of the year.

Ed, who has a net worth of £340million, has continued on his hugely lucrative Mathematics world tour, and just this week has been making more dosh from it. He has released a box set called +-=÷× (Tour Collection) which is on course to become his eighth Top Ten album this Friday. Ed is on a break from his tour before it kicks off again next May and I’m sure that the time off means one thing – there’s new music on the way.

That boy never stops. But it is certainly paying off for him. KYLIE MINOGUE was grinning from ear to ear on a night out in London after shifting hundreds of thousands of tickets for her upcoming tour.

She will hit the road for her Tension Tour next summer – and nine of.
