In the trailer, Mel describes herself as “broke” and that her family thinks she’s a “lost cause.” One day, after an accident, she makes the decision to change her life’s trajectory and start living her life to the fullest, no matter what it takes. “I am tired of listening to everyone else but myself,” said Rothwell’s Mel, as she begins to start her new life.

The synopsis for the upcoming series reads: “The series follows Melissa (Rothwell), a Black neurotic who’s never been in love. After a comical brush with death, she refuses to settle for anything less than the life she wants.
