Thousands of students across England will have been waiting anxiously for their GCSE and A Level marks after studying hard all year. However, not getting the marks you hoped for can be a disappointing setback, especially if you're looking to attend college or university. Luckily, there is a system in place that allows candidates to appeal their GCSE and A Level marks.

When will I get my GCSE and A Level marks? Results for each of these are released on separate dates with A Level students having already received their marks on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Those who sat their GCSEs will receive their marks today (Thursday, August 22, 2024). How do I appeal my GCSE and A Level marks? According to the UK Government website , students in England looking to appeal their GCSE , AS Level and A Level marks can contact their school or college to request that the exam board review their final grades.

Private candidates can also contact the exam board directly or contact the school or college that submitted their work. Those choosing to go down this path may need to pay a fee if the review does not lead to a change in grade.
