Kamala’s father, Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapur), appears in this episode as the assistant bank manager who gently denies Matt’s (Charlie Cox) request for a loan.

However, Matt admits this is the “nicest no” he has received yet. During their conversation, Yusuf mentions Kamala and her current whereabouts, seemingly teasing the Young Avengers.Is Kamala Khan recruiting Cassie Lang for Young Avengers during Daredevil: Born Again?In the fifth episode of Daredevil: Born Again, titled “With Interest,” Matt visits a bank named New York Mutual, seeking a loan to fund the rapid expansion of Murdock & McDuffie.

Yusuf works there as an assistant manager. During their conversation, Yusuf’s phone buzzes. He picks it up and apologizes to Matt for interrupting their conversation.

Yusuf reveals that it’s his daughter, Kamala, who is at present in California, “visiting some friends there.”This is most likely the continuation of the setup for Young Avengers that began with the 2023 superhero feature The Marvels. In the final scene of the movie, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop returns home to find Kamala there.

In a scene that is clearly a throwback to the first meeting between Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury from the 2008’s Iron Man, Kamala asks Kate if the latter.
