3% to 285,738 wagons. Intermodal transportation, which involves the use of multiple modes of transportation (such as rail and truck) to move goods, has become increasingly important in modern logistics due to its efficiency and cost-effectiveness. For the tourism sector, this growth in intermodal transport can translate into more reliable and efficient supply chains for travel-related goods and services.

As more businesses shift to rail for their transportation needs, tourists may benefit from smoother operations.
