Ace Talbert led the Red Flash (0-2) with 17 points, and Jeremy Clayville added 11 points off the bench. Bobby Rosenberger III chipped in 10 points in the loss. Hunter scored the game's first six points, and back-to-back field goals by Zackery and Viktor Lakhin extended the Tigers' lead to 10-2 at the 17:37 mark of the first half.

After Clayville's 3-pointer cut Clemson's lead to 14-10, Del Jones scored on consecutive possessions for the Tigers and Hunter's triple capped a 7-0 run to give the Tigers a 21-10 cushion. With 7:06 left in the first half, Zackery's three-point play extended Clemson's advantage to 27-12. Rosenberger answered with a 3-pointer for Saint Francis, but Jake Heidbreder knocked down a 3-pointer, and Schieffelin hit back-to-back layups, giving Clemson a 34-15 lead with 3:33 left.

Leading 37-20, Zackery and Lakhin each made layups in the final minute of the first half, giving Clemson a 41-20 halftime lead. Hunter paced the Tigers with nine points in the first half, while Rosenberger led the Red Flash with six. From there, Clemson took a 29-point lead -- its lar.
