Monday, September 16, 2024 Costa Rica’s eco-friendly Hotel Belmar has revealed its carefully curated room renovations, completed this summer. These updated spaces seamlessly blend the hotel’s commitment to nature with the contemporary comforts guests seek. The project, led by local designers from NAAS Interior Culture, reimagined the guest experience by balancing modern design with the hotel’s lush forest backdrop.

Rooms feature natural elements like wood and earthy tones, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Almost all of the ecolodge’s 26 rooms underwent this transformation. Mid-century modern touches, with clean lines and practical furniture, enhance both style and comfort.

Luxurious fabrics, like velvet, and natural fibers introduce texture, while responsibly sourced materials like sustainable wood, low VOC paints, and organic textiles emphasize environmental consciousness. The upgrades invite guests to soak in natural light and enjoy forest sounds, allowing a smooth transition between indoor comfort and outdoor serenity. The newly renovated Sunrise Room, for instance, offers a private balcony with sweeping views of the cloud forest and Nicoya Peninsula, providing a stunning backdrop for relaxation.

Locally crafted art and designs were thoughtfully integrated throughout the hotel, celebrating Costa Rica’s cultural heritage and giving each space a distinct, authentic feel. The renovations underscore Hotel Belmar’s commitment to eco-conscious luxury, offerin.
