The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers ( NABH ) on Monday said around 100 hospitals across India have received digital health accreditation, which was developed to assess the digital maturity of Indian hospitals. A total of 300 hospitals have so far applied for the digital accreditation , implying a good response from the hospitals. “This initiative will streamline healthcare operations , ensuring that hospitals adhere to standardised, high-quality processes,” said Rizwan Koita, chairperson of NABH, speaking on the sidelines of CII Hospital Tech 2024 summit.
He said, adding the accreditation is expected to improve patient outcomes by making complex clinical protocols easier to follow through automated systems that guide healthcare professionals at every stage of care. The NABH Digital Health Standards , launched in 2023, is designed to assess hospitals based on their digital maturity and integration of advanced technologies in healthcare. These standards aim to enhance clinical care quality, patient safety, and overall operational efficiency by encouraging the adoption of digital health processes.
The scheme offers three maturity levels namely silver, gold and platinum to assess the overall digital maturity of hospitals.
