Tech company Dyson, known for bagless vacuum cleaners and bladeless fans, has come up with the idea as it moves into the beauty products market. It is using fungal chitosan, from the cell walls of oyster mushrooms, as the active ingredient in hair serum.

Researchers have found that chitosan, which is already popular in skincare, can also tame frizzy hair. Each bottle of the product named after its star ingredient contains the equivalent of up to eight oyster mushrooms.
