Sunday, November 10, 2024 The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), an annual national trade show, launched today (November 5) in Shanghai and will run for six days. The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has been an enthusiastic participant since the expo’s inception, marking its seventh consecutive year at the event. This year, HKTB is spotlighting Hong Kong’s vibrant appeal as an international metropolis, showcasing the city’s rich tourism experiences, major events, and its role in leading the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) tourism brand alongside other cities in the region.

Mr Dane Cheng, HKTB Executive Director, said, “The CIIE is an important stage for Hong Kong to showcase its unique metropolitan image and glamourous tourism appeal to the Mainland markets and the rest of the world. Through our stimulating pavilion, HKTB seizes the opportunity of CIIE to reach out to participants from all over the world and promote Hong Kong’s newest tourism experiences. This will be essential for solidifying Hong Kong’s status as a world-class premier tourism destination and hub for GBA tourism, so that we can maximise our edge of being closely connected to the world, and hence attract more visitors to the city for multi-destination travel.
