Thursday, August 15, 2024 The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), in collaboration with Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP), is excited to announce the return of the Hong Kong Cyclothon on Sunday, October 13th. This year’s event goes beyond cycling, transforming into a dynamic sports-themed carnival that celebrates health and wellness. With newly enhanced routes and added attractions, the Cyclothon invites participants to experience the beauty of Hong Kong’s cityscape while enjoying a day of active fun.

Two of the Cyclothon’s signature events, the 50km and 32km rides, have been revamped to offer an even more thrilling experience. The 50km ride now includes an additional tunnel, bringing the total to four tunnels and three bridges, all typically closed to cyclists. For the first time, participants in the 32km ride will enjoy spectacular views of Hong Kong’s harbour from the Ting Kau Bridge, alongside the well-known Stonecutters Bridge.

Both routes will conclude in the vibrant West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), providing a picturesque finish for the cyclists. To elevate the excitement, HKTB is introducing a brand-new carnival at WKCD, featuring a blend of sports activities, local culinary delights, large-scale photo opportunities, and a cycling-themed market. The festivities will also extend to Tsim Sha Tsui East, where a live audience will share in the celebration.
