The Chinese New Year period saw HKIA reach a new high, with passenger traffic peaking on February 2, 2025, when approximately 195,000 passengers passed through the airport, setting a new daily record since the pandemic. This milestone signifies a strong recovery, nearing pre-pandemic passenger levels.
For the entire month of February, HKIA welcomed 4.5 million passengers, marking a robust 7.0% year-on-year increase.
Additionally, the airport saw a rise in flight movements, which increased by 5.2% to 29,075 compared to the same month in 2024. The cumulative passenger traffic for the first two months of 2025 further highlights the ongoing recovery, with HKIA handling 9.
