Homes Under the Hammer star Martin Roberts was left slightly concerned during the most recent instalment of the BBC show. With one semi-detached house up for auction at £115,000, the property star decided to explore the inside before it was sold to the highest bidder. Although things seemed well at first glance, the more Martin journeyed through the property, the more concerns he discovered.

Heading up the stairs, he quickly stopped before venturing into the bedrooms as he noticed something on the walls. Looking at a crack that ran across the ceiling, down the wall, and towards the floor, he said: “That’s a bit of a worry, loads of cracks on this wall.” Inspecting the damage, he looked out the window as Martin told viewers: “That’s not good.

That’s weird, I didn’t see anything on the way in, I have to check that out.” Turning around, Martin went back down the stairs to see if he could find the source of the issue from the front of the home. Whilst outside, he confessed he wasn’t surprised he didn’t notice it when first arriving as it’s extremely subtle.

He added: “I mean, the drain pipe is slightly at an angle and if you look there is a bit of a bow in that wall but not much. The only thing that concerns me, is that here and there you have these manhole covers. “There is likely to be some kind of a drain linking those two, it is suspicious it is exactly where this potential slight subsidence has occurred.
