Dorset Council has approved the demolition of No95, Coventry House, to make way for the seven 2-bed terraced homes and one 3-bed. Two blocks fronting onto North Street and a single detached home are planned for the site. The site has had several uses in the past, including the town gasworks and the Autopoint garage.

Several residents had objected to the proposals with concerns about what some claimed was the over-bearing nature of the design, risk from the flood zone and the harm to trees on the site as well as insufficient parking spaces for the new homes.
