Thursday, October 3, 2024 Hitachi Rail has secured a contract to implement its advanced APIS solution for Lisbon Metro, designed to provide live traffic updates and support various multimedia formats. This flexible and expandable system is set to enhance the digital transmission of information throughout Lisbon Metro’s network, including both rolling stock and above-ground data points. The agreement renews the collaboration between Hitachi Rail and Lisbon Metro, reinforcing the deployment of Hitachi’s proprietary APIS solution across Portugal’s principal rail networks, which include Lisbon Metro, Porto Metro, and Infraestruturas de Portugal.
