The Sands Hotel in Burray dates back to 1860 and has “an imposing position overlooking the beach and with stunning views,” The Herald reports. Graham + Sibbald is marketing the hotel in Burray, located just off mainland Orkney, which was once only accessible by boat although is now linked by the iconic causeways, the Churchill Barriers. The hotel is also said to have “stunning views over Water Sound to South Ronaldsay”.
