A female hiker died on Sunday on a trail near near Quail Creek State Park in southern Utah , according to local reports. The woman, 56, who was not identified in the report, had sent out a distress call regarding lack of water and high temperatures, but by the time police arrived, she was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The local temperature was 106 degrees Fahrenheit when the woman's death was reported.
