Travelling to the other side of the world can not only be time-consuming but also incredibly costly. However, you won’t have to worry about jetting outside of the UK to immerse yourself in surroundings which could be mistaken for Thailand. Hidden away on the Devon coast, you’ll find an isolated village and beach away from the crowds of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe - Lee Bay.

One reporter headed out to the North Devon hidden gem, which they described as an “undiscovered treasure”. If you’re a nature lover, the area known locally as ‘Fuchsia Valley’, is adorned with hedgerows dripping with red and purple flowers. This is what one DevonLive reporter found on their voyage.

This quaint village is located at the end of a winding road, shrouded by a lush canopy of trees. "Despite being just five miles from Woolacombe and three miles from Ilfracombe, this secluded spot beneath the South West Coast Path remains somewhat of an undiscovered treasure.

One of its unique features is that the beach only reveals itself for a brief period each day. "Mostly, the sand is consumed by the sea. However, when the tide recedes, it unveils a beautiful sandy beach, encircled by a string of rock pools.
