Prince George turns 11 today - and following tradition his parents the Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a brand new snap of their eldest child. The black and white picture, taken by mum Kate in Windsor earlier this month, shows the second-in-line to the throne looking smart and grown up. He is seen sitting and smiling at the camera, dressed in an open-necked white shirt and dark blazer.

The new photo was posted to Prince William and Kate's official social media accounts today and royal fans couldn't hide their excitement at the new photo. And it seems one hidden detail in the snap caught their eye when it came to George's left wrist. In the snap, he can be seen wearing a woven friendship bracelet.

While Kensington Palace declined to reveal who gave the prince the jewellery piece, George also sported the bracelet last weekend while in Berlin for the Euro 2024 final. Meanwhile, his younger sister Princess Charlotte was seen wearing a similar bracelet while on a trip to Wimbledon last weekend with mum Kate. Even King Charles was seen in one of the woven bracelets during his tour of the Channel Islands and at the State Opening of Parliament last week.

On fan wrote on X about the new George snap: "A fab photo of a very handsome young man ...

I love the friendship bracelet too ...

Perhaps a gift from Princess Charlotte? The King was also wearing one in recent photos ...

Love it." While another said: "I spot that friendship bracelet again!" Friendship bracelets like these ha.
