This time, Arrowhead Game Studios’ recently released Escalation of Freedom update has caused the game to receive another wave of negative Steam reviews due to the latest batch of weapon nerfs it brought about. “I really love Helldivers [2], but every update makes me want to play the game less,” said Steam user Fobbit in their negative review.
“Every single update comes with nonsensical nerfs to whatever playstyle is popular, and I just can’t get excited to get back into the game to experience new content when every new feature comes with a terrible balance patch.” Other reviews over the past couple of days have shared similar sentiments.
