Head West Studio, a hair salon located at 106 E. Washington St. in Napavine, is the place to be for a great cut in a calm and welcoming environment.

Koral Working, the owner and one of the resident stylists at Head West, opened her doors last January after receiving the keys to the place the prior Christmas. Despite the tight turnaround, Working was able to renovate the space to allow for another chair and decorate everything in her signature Western style. Before opening Head West, Working was a stylist at Salon Logan and the Hair Company.

She also attended beauty school. “I always knew I wanted to open my own place and have my personality and who I am to come out in the space,” she said. From the accenting Western wall print to the plants in almost every corner, Working has incorporated her style into every ounce of her business.

“My poor dad has been in here almost every weekend helping me with something,” Working said. “I’m so thankful for him.” Along with creating a beautiful space, fostering an environment that is kind and genuine is one of Working’s biggest goals.

“I never want people to feel intimidated coming into my salon,” Working said. “It doesn’t matter what you look like or who you are, I want everyone to feel welcome.” Working said she has clients who have become like family.
