After the big Diwali clash between two of the most anticipated films of 2024, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, trade experts and Bollywood buffs were gearing up for the next major face-off. Vicky Kaushal's historical drama Chhaava was scheduled to hit the screens on December 6, a day after Allu Arjun's pan-India film Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, it seems the makers of Chhaava have decided to play it safe.

If rumours are to be believed, the release of the Vicky starrer has been postponed. Chhaava POSTPONED To Avoid Clash With Pushpa 2: Report According to a report in Mid-Day, the movie has been pushed indefinitely. “Chhaava is an ambitious project for the stakeholders, production house, director Laxman Utekar, and its lead star, Vicky.

It makes sense to release it when no other film is scheduled to air,” a source told them. An official confirmation on this is still awaited. However, trade gurus feel that this might help the business of both films.

Industry expert Taran Adarsh told the portal, “Pushpa has potential to perform well in [all] languages. Chhaava is an ambitious project. A lot of money has gone into making both films.

A clash could affect business.” Interestingly, both movies feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. So, will it be Rashmika vs Rashmika at the box office this December? Fans will have to wait for an official confirmation to find out.
