It's just rubbish! A fed-up resident waited more than two months for his wheelie bin - which he paid for - to arrive Peter Jackson, aged 81, awoke on April 29 this year to find that the grey bin from his house in Harwood had disappeared. He rang the council to ask for a new bin, being told he had to pay for it. Mr Jackson, of Roading Brook Road, did as he was asked, paying £34 for the replacement.

However, it was not until Thursday, July 11 that he finally received the bin, over two months after first requesting it. In the interim, he said he had to make an eight mile round trip from Harwood to the tip at Raikes Lane in order to get rid of his waste. He said: "They told me it would run a bit late, that is fine, so I went to the tip on a weekly basis to dispose of the kitchen rubbish.

"I would speak to people and get put on hold for 30 minutes, I would just get put through from one person to the next. There was no one who could do anything positive. "I was just going around in circles to be quite honest.

I ha.
