Ian Poulter has revealed how impressed he was with golfing newbie Bukayo Saka at England's Euro 2024 camp. Following their quarter-final victory over Switzerland, the Three Lions stars took to the golf course at their training game in Germany to practice some shots . The 26-man squad separated into two teams of North vs South on the driving range with Poulter , a five-time Ryder Cup winner - and big Arsenal fan - offering some of his expertise.

And among some of the best England stars to take to the golf clubs, was Gunners star Saka who received a special mention for his efforts. Speaking to talkSPORT Breakfast, the LIV Golf star Poulter said: "Harry [Kane] - he plays off 2.9, his golf game speaks for itself.

He's very, very solid. "Declan [Rice], passionate about his golf, really tidy swing. Rambo [Aaron Ramsdale], absolutely sends it out there.

Dunks [Lewis Dunk] sends it, he doesn't play a lot of golf but when he hits it it's 300+ yards. "But do you know what? The one for me was Saka. Never picked up a golf club, he's on the range, had all the support from the lads because he just wanted to hit one half-decent.

"I gave him a couple of pointers and he absolutely flushes this thing, the lads went bonkers, he went back to his bag and fell over and everyone was laughing. "It was so good, it was a pleasure for me to spend a bit of time with the team, to see the internal dynamics of what happens inside the England camp. "Again, unfortunately they came up just short this year but.
