Prince Harry and Prince William could come face to face at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes which will be an 'awkward' reunion according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond. Estranged siblings Prince Harry and Prince William may be faced with an 'awkward' reunion at their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes' funeral, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has speculated. The seasoned journalist and presenter, spoke to OK! about the passing of Lord Fellowes and how it may present an uncomfortable situation for the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales.

Lord Fellowes served as Queen Elizabeth II's private secretary for a considerable period and was wed to Princess Diana's sister, Lady Jane Spencer. Royal commentators believe Harry will make a point to attend his uncle's send off, given his prior closeness with the Fellowes clan with Jane even reading during Harry and Meghan's nuptials. However, Jennie Bond believes his attendance could ruffle feathers.

She said: "I imagine Harry will want to be at his uncle's funeral...

. but his presence would cause all sorts of awkwardness if William attends too. "It would be nice to think, though, that two grown-up men could at least be in the same space.

...

as they were at the coronation, albeit briefly...

. without ruining an occasion of great sadness and solemnity." Join the Daily Record' s WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
