VICE President Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic Party's nomination in a nearly 40-minute speech that outlined her policy ideas and stances if elected. In her speech, Harris only mentioned her rival on the Republican ticket, Donald Trump, by name only 15 times throughout - but threw plenty of subliminal jabs that alluded to what she felt were the dangers of a second Trump term. Harris started her speech by thanking her husband, President Joe Biden, her parents, her sister, and "Coach" Tim Walz.
